Thyroid T3, T4 problems Low back pain Asthma Diverticulitis On/Off diarrhea Inner ear problems Platelet pathology Vertebrae disc degeneration Evening exhaustion Torso pain Stomach digestive problems Sciatic leg pain Gall bladder problems Depth perception TMJ Neck pain Shoulder pain Costal/Rib pain Food allergy
Scoliosis Patient Data Clinical data compiled in a study of 500 patients with idiopathic scoliosis from around the country, and some from overseas, demonstrates how health maladies from which they suffer go beyond just their problem with curvature of the spine and touch upon all five body systems.
In the study patients were asked, aside from their scoliotic curvature what, if any, additional health conditions had been bothering them. Here are some of the more common maladies many shared.
Additional Health Conditions Detected By Patients Mood swings 95% Digestive problems 70% Female patients having menstrual-cycle disturbances 52% Leg, hip and knee pain 45% Back pain 45% Shortness of breath 40% Chronic fatigue 27% Foot arch problems 25%
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next, patients were given a variety of medical tests to determine what, if any, undetected health conditions they had in addition to their spinal curvature. These are some of the findings, categorized by the body system affected.
Additional Health Conditions Undetected By Patients Osseous Abnormal vertical vs. width growth rates 98% Osteopenia, the precursor to osteoporosis 40% Muscular Abnormal levels of collagen fiber deterioration 85% TMJ problems 25% Hormonal Mineral toxicity (e.g., lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, etc.) 92% Aglycemic problems 80% Thyroid abnormalities 35% Heart palpitations 10% Neurological Righting reflex — brain-triggered muscle signal overcompensation to maintain a body’s balance under scoliotic conditions 100% Hand/eye coordination problem in judging distance and speed of oncoming objects (e.g., a ball, a bus, etc.) 72%
